Directly managed by China’s central government, the large-scale automobile manufacturer Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. has been steadily growing its presence in its domestic market, as well as the lucrative international market.
Founded in 1969 at Shiyan City, Hubei Province, the company was originally known as Second Automobile Works, before it was renamed as the Dongfeng Motor Company in 1992. Headquartered today in Wuhan, Hubei Province, the company has become one of the largest automobile manufacturers in China with product lines spanning from commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, and new energy vehicles through to military vehicles. Currently, Dongfeng’s business covers more than 20 domestics cities including Wuhan, Shiyan, Xiangyang and Guanzhou, among others.
